TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTIVE SECTORS
The Department of Technology Development and Productive Sectors is one of the four key departments under the Economic Empowerment Agency. This division also ensures balanced growth across the key productive sectors to promote equitable development and mitigate resource allocation imbalances. Led by a Senior Officer with relevant expertise, the division is dedicated to sustainable sector advancement.
Responsibilities of the Productive Sector Development Division
1. Maintaining machinery at agency centers.
2. Promoting innovation in new production methods and service delivery.
3. Identifying and introducing new technologies to enhance product quality and support local producers.
4. Managing and evaluating balanced growth across major productive sectors to ensure equitable development.
5. Monitoring production activities of small- and medium-sized manufacturers and advising on strategies for growth.
6. Providing guidance on efficient industrial production management for manufacturers.
7. Overseeing access to production spaces and infrastructure and managing shared production facilities for small, micro, and medium enterprises.
8. Managing shared production centers owned by ZEEA.
9. Coordinating discussions with key productive sectors regarding sectoral development and challenges.
10. Assessing productive sector development and advising ZEEA and the government, recommending program reforms to achieve sustainable growth.
